A collaborative stop-motion animation in response to Covid-19
Sadly COVID-19 pushed my work out of the physical space of Edinburgh College of Art, causing the cancellation of our degree show, changing scale my creatures travelled into the screen-sized world of stop-motion animation.
Wild Things was born through lockdown. It is a collaboration with Lorenzo Rangoni Robertson (Sculpture BA).
The animation is inspired by Maurice Sendak’s book ‘Where the Wild Things Are’, which was already becoming important in my research.
Together we continued the journey of my creatures, bringing them to life. Continuing to use cutouts and collage as techniques to allow my creatures to move.
